A native of Russellville, Alabama, David Mashburn grew up playing the piano, singing, writing songs and staging neighborhood shows for family and friends.

Early on, David showed signs of great creativity and musical talent— taking private piano lessons as a young boy that continued throughout early adulthood.

In high school (http://rhs.rcs.k12.al.us ), David performed in numerous theatrical productions; concert and show choirs; and jazz and marching bands. During this time, he began playing the piano professionally on the weekends while also giving piano lessons to younger children in his local community.
